Complex problems, solved.

Everything below is built into how we work, so nothing that should be standard shows up as a surprise line item.

Secure portal

Upload from your phone in minutes. Documents live in an encrypted, IRS-compliant portal, never an email thread.

Audit protection, built in

If the IRS or CRA comes knocking, we answer. Full representation is included in every plan, not sold as an add-on.

True cross-border work

1040 and T1 filed in the correct sequence, with the treaty and foreign tax credit applied so the same dollar isn't taxed twice.

Tax-home verification

So your tax-free stipends remain tax-free.

Support past April

Our clients have questions beyond April. We answer questions throughout the year in our secure client portal.

Deductions in every state

We claim the credits and job-expense deductions each state still allows: the ones national chains routinely miss.

"Hasib has filed my American and Canadian taxes for two years. As a Canadian travel nursing in the USA, tax season was overwhelming, until him. When the CRA audited me, he handled it and it closed with no additional tax owed. He even caught that I'd overpaid the CRA in 2022 and filed to get it back. I don't know what I'd do without his expertise."

"So much easier than the online nurse-tax company I tried first, they never answered my questions or promised to hit the deadline. I'll be recommending you to all my travel and RN friends."

"This is my first time working with Hasib from Taxscrubs. I highly recommend him to do you taxes. He is very knowledgeable and the whole process was seamless. He was quick to answer any questions and the application used to upload the necessary tax information was very user friendly"

Quick answers before you book

Do I have to file a return in every state I worked?+

Usually yes. You'll typically file a resident return in your home state and a non-resident return in each state you took an assignment. Our Traveler plan covers as many states as your assignments require, at $50 for each additional state, so pricing stays predictable no matter how many you take on.

How do I keep my stipends tax-free?+

By maintaining a valid tax home and genuinely duplicating living expenses while on assignment. We review your situation, tell you honestly whether you qualify, and document it so it holds up if you're ever audited. A dedicated tax-home consult is available.

Will filing in both the US and Canada mean I'm taxed twice?+

Almost never. You do file in both countries, but the tax treaty and the foreign tax credit keep the same income from being taxed in full twice, as long as the returns are prepared in the right order. That sequencing is exactly what our Cross-Border plan handles.

What's FBAR, and do I need it?+

If your foreign financial accounts total more than $10,000 USD at any point in the year, you must file an FBAR (FinCEN Form 114). The penalties for missing it are steep and. It's included in our Cross-Border plan.

Can I only reach you during tax season?+

No. Every plan includes year-round support. Questions don't stop in April, so neither do we.

Let's make this year's return the easy one.
